The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has promised to collaborate with the management of Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) limited in order to tackle the challenges and achieve desired results in the Niger Delta region.
This was made known yesterday by the Managing Director of the Commission, Sir Barr. Bassey Dan-Abia, when the Management of NAOC, led by the General Manager, District, Mr. Paolo Carnevale, paid a courtesy visit to the Commission's headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The Managing Director who spoke in the presence of the NDDC Management team drawn from the state offices and the head office of the Commission described NAOC as strategic stakeholders and partners for the development of the Niger Delta region.
'We are aware of the challenges faced by the oil companies; we are ready to collaborate with NAOC to Overcome the Current Challenges. NDDC is ever ready to collaborate with any stakeholder for the sustainable development of this region 'he said
The MD/CEO further pointed out that NDDC door is open for NAOC in various areas of development in the region especially at this period that the oil business is in the present situation of our history.
Earlier, the NAOC General Manager, District, commended the NDDC for the infrastructural development in the region saying that his visit was the first since he resumed duty in 2014. He said their visit was in furtherance of NAOC quest to fruitful collaboration with NDDC.
