The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has commissioned the electrification project at Obagie Nevbuosa in Ikpo-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.
The Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NDDC, Dr Christy Atako who commissioned the project, urged the people to maintain the project, stressing that as peace loving communities, their attitude would attract more infrastructural development to the community.
Dr Atako advised the youth in the community to shun violence and avoid vandalisation of any government project sited in their community.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Elder Osaretin Igbinigie thanked the NDDC for the electrification project and commended the commission for giving them light.
He said this gesture would improve the economic activities of the people as small scale businesses would immediately emerge and this would encourage many to be self reliant.
Earlier, the NDDC Boss inspected the construction of Eso-Oheze –Evbohighae Road at Orhionmom, construction of Obozogbe-Niro-Idunmwenke-Idunmwenbo-Abudu road and the NDDC prototype university hostel at University Of Benin.
