The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has reaffirmed its resolve to do things differently.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission,, Mr. Nsima Ekere said this when he visited the Cross River State office of the Commission in Calabar on Friday.
He said: "We will try to inculcate proper processes that will enable the NDDC to be more transparent, because if we are more lean, efficient and transparent it will be easier to meet our core mandate."
Mr. Ekere noted that the board of the Commission would restructure the interventionist agency, adding: "We will look at our projects and see those projects we will drop and continue with the ones that will add better value to the communities we intend to serve."
The NDDC boss commended the staff of the state office and appealed to all the contractors handling NDDC projects around the Niger Delta, especially Cross River State to return to site. "Go back to site, deliver on your projects, maintain high quality workmanship and quality jobs and we shall pay you," he stated.
